about a month ago, i got run into by a left hand turner from the oposite direction when i was going straight through the intersection. he hit me in the front driver's side corner. broke the corner lamp, bumper extension, tore the bumper, and slightly deflected the quarter panel just behind the corner light. well, i replaced the parts about a week later and drove to work the following monday. on the drive home (first day after my repairs), i hit a dead deer that was lying in the left hand side of the right lane on i-95 north. by the time my lights hit it, and it registered as a stationary object on the highway, i swerved slightly right to miss it, but hit it with the front right driver's side wheel. i pulled over and saw that, yup, the new bumper extension, gone, bumper tweaked, and spoiler and valence under the front bumper were ripped off. gotta love it. make repairs and then they're gone.
not much relavence to your situation, but sharing in the pain. sorry to hear about yours.
