Hi again guys,

Pretty sure that now TCS & ABS faults have gone, intermittent 3 cylinder running must be due to dodgy DI cartridge have tried checking spark plugs cleaning & regapping ( no change ) car runs fine at speed till hot & sitting at lights then I think heat is "soaking" up to DI cartridge ( no more cool air passing nearby ) & just exceeding the electronics heat capacity, temp gauge on car never exceeds 25% but engine does seem to run hotter than most of the car engines I've come across in the past, nothing crazy but maybe enough to tip the balance, I can get a new DI for £160 including postage (UK) or a 2nd hand one for half that do you guys think I should just buy the new one in case it happens again ? my budget is pretty tight which I why im concidering 2nd hand. buy the way is there any good way of improving fuel economy in town driving in addition to being light on the throttle, cruising average around 27mpg which is OK but in town its nearer 5! how about a boost limiter switch or something ? would a water injection system help at all ? i've noticed previous postings about home made systems & recon I could do it for around £60 ( the difference of new or 2nd hand DI !! )

Any Ideas / opinions welcome
