As I said, I am still at 13-15 psi, but you're right, even if you turn the boost down to stock, with the timing advance it still feels great. I sure would like to be able to run on 89 octane, but I still have a couple tune up items left to do before I can see if that's a reality with the advanced timing. I just replaced my air filter, dist. cap, and hooter valve today, will do the rotor, plugs, and O2 sensor over the weekend. Emissions test coming up shortly here, but that should be no problem. :)
I also want to adjust my fuel pressure down, because I don't need nearly the fuel I did when I was running 18 psi, and wouldn't mind the extra MPG. I plan to keep my water injection, more as a safeguard than anything else. It comes on over 8 psi or so.
I think suspension mods with stock power are not a bad way to go, and probably safer so there is less chance of you overdriving the car. I only have the Abbott poly lower control arm bushes in front (great help on acceleration) and Abbott rear sway bar bushings (not a huge difference, but an improvement). My problem is that even in stock form, the car rides too hard for my tastes, so adding stiffer bits to the suspension have given me little satisfaction in that area. I wouldn't even consider adding stiffer springs or shocks unless I magically got another car for my daily driver. You will really love the new steering rack. Mine was going out for years (really) just getting worse and worse, but so slowly that you really didn't notice it changing one day to the next. However, once I had it replaced, wow, what a huge improvement! It is a major repair though, as I believe I paid $600 or so for the shop to do it, and had a couple other things done at the same time, so that was a pretty steep bill.
If you don't mind a stiff ride, I hear the SAS sway bars are a big improvement. One thing I found out about the poly bushings though, is that they can creak and groan if you let them dry out. My car really makes some hideous sounding noises going over speed bumps or even slow dips in the road at speed. Nothing wrong though, just the darned poly bushings. Or, at lesat the shop tells me that is a common problem. I guess I'll find out after I lube them. If that's not it, my car is falling apart finally... :)
