I installed zimmerman cross drilled rotors on the front of my 79 900 turbo. I have been extremly impressed with them and would recomend them. Brake fade has become a thing of the past for my car. I also installed SAS stainless felexable brake lines. I have not put a diffrent pad on yet, my current pads are only at half life.
Warping: warping is caused by uneven cooling, so the chances of a cross drilled or solid or slot rotor of warping is the same.
Cracking: cross drilled rotors use to crack, but todays cross drilled rotors are are chamfered which virtualy elimates the possibility of cracking, so there is no need to worry
