I too, was not used to the blind spot. I also scan the mirrors frequently, etc. For me, adjusting the mirrors the way I described allows me to do that. The tilt of the head thing is only for setting the position. By putting the mirrors the way I described, and setting the rear view just right, I get just a bit of overlap in the coverage aka no blind spot. What I learned was that having the mirrors set where I could see the rear corners (on the outside mirrors) gave me huge blind spots. The alternative was to buy one of those stupid convex things which are so small as to be useless, or try something else.

Now that I have the part numbers...I'll try to get the euro mirror....hope the good parts guy is at the dealer this weekend....
