Hey all,
Been awhile since I actually posted anything about my SPG. This weekend I spent some time on it!
1 - pulled out the aluminum beam from the bumper assembly, cut big holes in it, and mounted it straight to the car. Issue: not enough airflow to radiator due to top/bottom arrangement with FMIC and Rad. See pictures at link below.
2 - fixed fuel leak at filter (CM racing filer w/ AN fittings) that had been seeping for awhile. Looked at the filler neck assy and fuel tank purge line for leaks. Issue: gas smell in the cabin after parking overnight.
3 - When the engine goes from 18psi peak 15psi holding to 10psi max at WOT, something is wrong! For troubleshooting I disconnected the "W" line from the BPV and still only got 10psi. I ran the base boost test and got 2.5psi. Either the turbo was gone or there was a massive leak, right? A visual inspection turned up a split IC hose, the short one from the compressor to the first IC pipe. For all I know that was an original 1986 hose w/ 300,000+ miles on it! I ordered a 2" diam 3" long Silicone hose w/ 2 T clamps from http://www.hosetechniques.com, that should be here in a couple days.
Next up is to keep on troubleshooting until I can get that CEL to turn off for good! Damien
