Installed H&R springs and poly bushings...wow! Posted by AdamB [Email] (#3) [Profile/Gallery] (more from AdamB) on Sun, 14 Sep 2003 05:16:19 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I finally got around to having the poly front control arm bushings (rear) installed as well as the H&R lowering springs. Together with the Koni adjustables which already was on, the handling is great now. I turned down the Konis a bit and reduced the tire pressures too. Still a bit harsher than before, but not too much.
I also installed an open air kit from Speedparts. I had a smaller cone filter installed before, but it wasn't all the way into the wheel well. The new filter is much larger, and louder. Maybe a bit too loud hehe. With the Hyperboost BPV, the noise of full boost shifts is amazing. Even with windows closed and at full throttle runs at the top of third gear, I can hear a distinct pffftchh! sound when the BPV vents. With the bigger cone filter spool up is also improved a bit. It's not that hot here, so I haven't noticed any difference in power from the colder intake temp.
