I have a LPT setup (@7psi) on my 900 with a stock T-3. It is leaking oil into the exhaust manifold when turned off, and I was looking into getting an upgraded turbo for it.
What would the T3-T4 hybrid do? I know that these are usually for high psi applications, but since it has the larger T-4 intake turbine it seems it would pressurize the intake air faster even if the T-3 exhaust is the same. What about different trims?
I was also thinking of a Mitsu TE-05. How reliable are these compared to the Garrett models? I know this will allow fast spooling, but these seem very hard to find, and are not as reliable from what I have read.
Will a 3" downpipe be worth the $? I currently have stock Turbo exhaust with the cat totally removed.
I just mainly want to achieve faster spool up to the 7psi, and the ability to hit 15psi or so when I swap the engine for a 2.0
