so Im starting on a new intercooler using 2 volvo 740 ICs (89ish)which I will cut a few rows off of to get the 15.5 inches in height I need to make it fir perfect Ill have a double thick IC
I wont have to remove the tow hooks but cut a half moon shape out of the bottom tward the radiator to get the tubing thru between the apren suport & the tow hooks it will be a tidy install Ill be using 2.5 inch mandrel bends to plumm it
I also have the ford swingate ASSY (huge improvment over stock) Ill use & make a 3 inch DP to go to the rest of the 3 inch exhaust Ill be puting on also done mostly with mandrel bends & sporting a hooker aerochamber (liked the name) no they kisk ass :-) Im gona move the battery to the left side where the trashcan & current IC used to be to give room for the new swingate ASSY & DP
also Ill be going back to the .63 turbine housing which flows way better than the stock .48 but adds a bit of lag which Ill get back with the flowie exhaust between the exhaust & the turbine housing swingate & IC I should be able to EGTs down quite a bit
I also will eventualy be using the callaway injector driver I have to controll a 35 LB hr injector delivering watter in the 80PSI range into the IC pipe near the throttle body which will allow me to get my timing
up
I should have my eprom burner here soon so I can copy my volvo ECUs prom chip & than frank stromqvist & I are going to work on a 7Krpm chip for my car
I think if I can get 250 HP to the ground Ill be happy
anyway I have most of the stuff here its just a matter of finding the time to get it all in :-)
just wanted to share the plann
the SPG evolves :-)
heres pics of the sled & stuff
