would be neat to try. I used AV gas a few times. But then I thought...every time I spend 10-15CAD per tank more, I could bank that money and get a sport downpipe and exhaust. THat's exactly what I did, I save sufficient amount of money per tank running regular premium (92where I am in Canada), and started getting performance goodies with the money I saved. A 3 inch DP and exhaust isn't that much$ IMHO, and a nice increase without the need to increase octane.

However, I got greedy and started to to more mods some that increased the boost, needing higher octane. THen I went back to the octane booster or 94 Chevron to make up for it. But then I thought I would lower the boost for a while, go back to 92 and save for water injection.

These are just 2 mods out of many i have, but the water injection is giving me alot of breathing room to play around....and with my old 88 9000 I am able to runn 22 degrees advance and 20 psi boost on 92 pump gas.

many ways to skin the cat as they say, and I suppose it is more difficult to incorporate WI in a new Saab(?), but i thought I would just share my little history of octane boost;-)

My brother has a new 95 Aero and he mentions a nice increase wtih 94 Cheveron, so I can see why you guys want to increase the octane.
