Remember when Car and Driver was testing "tuner" cars? At least one of them ended up getting knocked out of the test when a plug tip basically melted during the top speed test. They even commented that it should have had a cooler running plug because a turbo was added to the car. That makes me think that the plugs run especially hot during sustained high boost. You know I'm not an expert on this stuff but it's an interesting thought.
