And just what I wanted to hear. I have searched extensively on this board but found nothing conclusive ergarding rim sizing on a C900, as everyone seems to have their ideas of what will or won't fit. That's an interesting point that Ronal makes a 16x7.5 for C900's, and one I hadn't considered. I will email them to find the offset, which at this point, I'm not really concerned about because the use of spacers can fine tune offset pretty effectively, based on my experience.
I know that any and everything affects the clearance of a given rim/tire set up, but I was half hoping someone would chime in saying they have the exact same set up as me and it works perfectly. At this point, however, it's hard to say what my set up will be as I have no plans to do anyhting to the car within the next month or so, just surveying my options. I will take some measurements next time I can find a parking spot big enough for me to lay down in the street without getting hit by a San Diego County bus or something.
So thanks for your plethora of advice, and I'll start taking measurements and researching pronto!
