I just bought a 2.1L Abbott racing head for my 85 SPG. It has the ports bored and polished, and a stage 1 cam grind. I am questioning it's integrity as a 2.1 head though, because I measured it's cam lift at about 0.350 (Intake and exhaust are about the same, base circle = 1.340 lobe = 1.750). It has a cast in mark on the distibuter end with "89" surrounded by hash marks; I was under the impression that this mark indicated the year the part was made, and if that's so, there weren't 2.1 heads in 89, right? Also, can anyone give me the part numbers and locations from one of their 2.1 heads so I can check numbers?? Thanks guys.

PS Just installed Dave Kennedy's (of Group9) lightened steel flywheel and 9000 clutch (he balanced, and milled the flywheel to 15lbs, down from 22!), all I can say is, if you are modding and haven't got one yet, it's wel worth the money. The impreovements in all ranges are amazing.
