Hot start problem

85 SPG, runs well when first started in the morning, but after the 3rd or 4th start of the day, if the eingine's even a little warm, it misses and shudders and wants to die for several minutes. Pulsing the throttle helps to keep it running, but until it warms up it's almost undrivable. The really strange part is that once it gets over about 3000 rpm it smooths out instantly, but at upshift if bogs down again in the low range. Can anyone help me? I have had no luck on the C900 board yet.
Thanks,
Drew
