The SMBC will allow for faster response and perhaps a tad more boost in the lower gears. But any increase in the lower gear boost levels will might get you TCS or wheel spin, depending on what you are driving. But all of that depends on what tires you have.
Once you get on boost, the SMBC is really not there as far as the ECU is concerned, so it will not have any effect on how the ECU works at high power levels.
So block or omit the MBC bleed orifice and install it between the pressure source and the BPC. Start with very low settings and go from there.
A T5 will not care about what you are doing. A T7 will do a limp home if you push too much with the SMBC. The limp home resets with the next startup cycle.
