TurboXS RFL Blow off valve installed

I have a '90 Aero, and I just installed a TurboXS RFL external blowoff valve. These install on the turbo pipe coming from the throttle body to the intercooler. Basically the blow off valve works fine, but when I rev it high, or put the clutch in to come to a stop it will stall out when the rpms drop down (it goes down past idle and stalls). I plugged the old factory BOV holes and the hose that connects to the throttle body. I tried adding washers into the TurboXS blow off valve itself, but it still does this... I think it has to do with the throttle closing too fast...
I know this can be done because one of my friends put this exact BOV on his car and it works fine. Anybody done this, or know what's goin on?
