That passage is only found in '85's, even the early '86's that still used the '85 head don't have it? In '85 through '87 the rear AIC hose goes to the intake manifold and in '88 up it goes to the "hose nipple next to the old cold start injector boss". That hole can be plugged like the early TB's but I don't believe your '90 N/A TB has the right small nipples at the top for the turbo distributor and charcoal canister. If I'm not mistaken at least 1 of the N/A small nipples is positioned further from the butterfly and therefore wouldn't work for ported vacuum in a turbo application. I'll find out if the "air passage built into the casting" is absolutely necessary for an '85 or not, I keep meaning to ask Brad so I'll find out and get back to you. I actually use that further forward small nipple for our big bore throttle bodies with our 7 degree butterfly's better closed angle because it just happens to be in the right spot but I don't have a clue what it's there for in the first place as every one I've seen has been capped off?
