Howdy.

Car seems to be running rich (no a/f guage to measure anything), but it stinks like its running rich. Here's some info:

Car is an '88 mod'd SPG, including 24lb Ford Motor Sport injectors, Saab 3.0bar FPR, GFB Hybrid BOV (it's connected as an atmospheric, not hybrid though), H2O injection and a cat converter that could be hollow and no muffler (yes, it's loud).

More info... For the last couple of months, when run relatively hard, the car smelled like rotten eggs. I was fairly confident that it was the cat, but I wasn't sure, so I took the cat out and as I mentioned, it might be hollow now.

Now the rotten egg smell is gone, but in its place is that distinct smell of a car running rich (even at idle).

I've not had a chance to check anything out yet, but I'm trying to isolate the likely problem areas. I wonder if it could be that the BOV is not recirculating at all? Would that cause the car to run rich? I know that when it blows off, it can run rich for a second, but I wouldn't have thought it would run rich all time time...
