Good to hear things are getting better... Yes the 3" JT downpipe and 3" cat will be a nice imrpovement over the stock stuff, and having the remainder of the exhaust just stock sized will be fine. I got the whole hog cause it just seemed cheaper in price at like $520 or so during a group buy like 2 yrs back or whatever. I had plans of getting the 3" cat but it never happened, so straight pipe for me.
I think I've got an interm version of Dave's RRFPR on my car, I have it set to 2.2-2.3 bar or like 33 psi. My A/F guage read like yours when I first installed it, was reading 4 bars rich eaily at 15 psi, checked the RRFPR and it was set to like 2.7 bar. I turned it down to the above 2.2-2.3 and now A/F guage reads 2 bars rich at 15-17 psi of boost.
The FFRPR's are great, but setting it to 2.7 bar for example and using it with the stock injectors (21Lb), wouldn't be enough fuel, especially with the amount of air these 2.3L heads and your larger turbo is moving. Have you played with the AMM at all, I think you did set it lower right, to what Ohm? I would agree though, using the RRFPR and some 26-27lb injectors would be good enough to support 240 or so hp and have good drivability as well. Funny thing though, before I got the RRFPR and 30Lb injectors, I was using 2.8 bar FPR and S&D "Blue Series Injectors". When I fitted the head, I figured I'd need more fuel and that drove the swap in items. All I probably really needed to do was add the RRFPR, keep the 27Lb injectors and I would've been set. Maybe I'll buy those again, and if I need more just increase the RRFPR to 3.0 Bar.
See Ya,
Phil
