Joel,
I as well drive a Viggen, and have been very pleased with the performance of the Toyo Proxes TS-1 tires. About 4 weeks ago I swapped out my winter tires (Toyo Snowprox S950) and with the TS-1s back on, the change is not only noticeable, but shocking.
About the only drawback I have found with the TS-1s is they wear pretty significantly only on the inside edge of the tires (mostly due to the big negative camber angle on the rear wheels). They tend to get a little on the noisy side as they wear down.
I am running the 215R17-45 size, and have had them at all different speeds and have yet to be dissapointed performance wise.
