Swedish Dynamics gets there APC's from the same guy Group9 does, but G9's price is allot better. Also from G9 you can get a stage 1+ which is a hotter unit. and you will definitely feel the difference, but you will need to upgrade your fuel system to compensate for it. 30lb injectors with a 2.5 bar regulator or a adjustable rising rate will let you see most of the potential of the APC. I have a very rare stage2 box in my 85 and quiet a few mods from G9/Lesco, I can haze the tires at 100MPH. Honest.

The stock 85 clutch and gear box should be ok with a APC etc, but you must make sure that you shift it carefully ( ie no drag racing or clutch drops) with increased power the transmission will break if you mistreat it.

How many miles are on you car? how much boost do you plan to run?etc
