Doing a cost analysis of this kind is tricky. There are numerous options available for improving your 9-5. A speedparts stage 2 and full suspension upgrade will run in the neighborhood of $2500 to $3000 installed depending on how much you can do yourself. This will bring performance slightly beyond a new Aero. There are other factors however. New Aeros have things like xenon lights and a better suspension out of the box. If you are a cash buyer who plans to keep the car a long time, keep your trusted and familar 9-5 as it is sans monthly payment. If you are a monthly payment driven buyer, go with the new one. Rates are low and new Aeros are aggresively negotiated. Installing some performance upgrades wont necesarily void your warranty but you do need to be more meticulous with your maintenance. It sounds like you have a gem of a used car. Keep it and have a good time customizing it. 9-5's have proven reliability. There is always something else to imrove. Watch out though...it's addictive.
