Lawrence,
For the best in braking performance, the new Axxis ceramic pads have been the choice of users looking for the ultimate stopping capabilities. We now stock these pads but the ceramic may be more aggressive to friction/contact areas. The standard Axxis or VGX have been a contiued favorite of street applications (although we have not compared these to the "blue" pads as you mention) as they have excellent braking performance, minimal wear at pad/rotor, and low dusting.
The cross drilled rotor will always enhance braking performance and will minimize warpage. If drilling to a high quality rotor, there will be no issues with cracking, etc. which is very common to less expensive rotors (after drilling). If your rotors do not come with a lifetime warranty against cracking, you might suspect that it is a low nickle (less expensive)alloy.
Best of luck and regards for the weekend!
