So it has a wire spiral in it, that will be ok.
It might transmit noise from the turbo.
It needs to be tolerant of oil and heat.
You should be able to get some curves that are better than you could get with the other options. It will be interesting to follow your posts.
Intake hoses, upstream of the turbo can have a failure mode of collapse. This is where wires are esential, or thick stiff walls. The factory stuff in thin polypropylene in the last 10 years or so stays stiff on the heat and will not collapse like some plastics or rubbers would. What can happen is that there is a sudden loss of power when on the throttle. Stop the vehicle, look under the hood and the collapsed hose has sprung back. Drive and seems ok, get on WOT and WTF, it happens again.
