Turn the front of the crankshaft clockwise until you're on Top Dead Center (O on the flywheel). Both timing marks on the front of the cam sprockets will either be straight up or straight down at this point. If they are not straight up turn the crank one more turn clockwise so the cam sprocket marks will be straight up. Make sure that there are 15 chain pins between these cam sprocket marks when they are straight up! Then looking at both sprockets from the back side you will see notches in the cams themselves right behind the front cam caps that line up with some "V" like marks on the back of each of these caps. The best instructions with pictures I've found are from the Bentley 16 valve 900 (1985 through 1993) Saab manual. Dave
