um.... if you are running a stock turbo even not running an APC you would see taper
there is a bit of programmed taper in the APC but higher in the RPMs your engine begins to outflow your turbo so boost gets lower
what fueling mods are you running?
what timing are you running at what boost?
& how much boost?
pre ignition can cause boost to drop off too & with a stock IC above stock HP levels it is pretty much useless as a restriction in the intake path the turbo tryoing to push air thru it causes more heat than the IC removes & the visious cycle of intake heat beginns & so does pre ignition :-(
