With my 03 9-5 Aero, the SS system came with no flex joints anywhere and the exhaust tiup would not fit, so two returns and replacememts later. The pipes as assembled were too long and one pipe needed about 1&1/2" cut off. This is because they are not accomodating stretching variations of the pipes when they are bemt. Going from steel to SS may have increased this. They need to jig mark/cut the pipes to size after bending. The SS is so tough that neither my pipe cutter or the one that Midas has would touch it, had to remove and use an abrasive cutoff wheel. In the end the hangers on the rear muffler needed to be torched and hot bent to work right. Front most hangers were not right either. The design and execution, while otherwise quite decent has zero tolerance for manufacturing tolerances and an second flex joint or a hemisperical joint behind the front most hangers is needed to make the system adaptive to manufacturing variabilities. Did I mention that the front O2 sensor bung needed to be retapped? Yank it off and another trip to Midas to fix that.

So bottom line? Someone at Speedparts and/or JT does not give a damm. They are just making and shipping and not taking the time or making the effort to see that the total product will meet customer needs and expectations. It is stupid crap like that that makes you appreciate how well some of the factory stuff is designed and manufactured. With the stuff that can come from some aftermarket suppliers, one can get a feeling that they are installing poorly designed and executed junk. It took three attempts to get my exhaust installed and two attempts with the speedparts IC that had to be returned. There is a general lack of interest in exceeding customer expectations (understatement).
