Hi Steve, our Erik P modified APC's will still protect your engine as just a single upgrade however for best results a 3 bar fuel pressure regulator is a good idea if you're retaining your stock injectors. Next step would be 24# (27 at 3 bar)injectors with a 2.8 fuel pressure regulator. We have great results with our redesigned fully adjustable (Direct replacement!) rising rate fuel pressure regulator with our 30# injectors but we now offer custom ECU chips to be used with larger injectors including the T5 injectors that have a better spray pattern. All this said the best bang for the buck is still a Stage 2 APC and a 3 bar fuel pressure regulator with stock injectors. Either way you go don't forget to eventually deal with the age old ignition retard problem (to get the best out of your APC upgrade) these cars have in stock form that prevents steady higher boost levels to be run. Just bending the retard limit stop 1mm and advancing your base timing does help but over 50% of the problem with the stock unit is that the retard comes in much too quickly. A good example is the 010 distributor that came in the no longer available Saab tuning kits with the red APC box and a 2.8 bar fuel pressure regulator. The only thing different about the distributor itself was the part number which reflected the better retard unit that had a stronger retard spring. I'm a nut for our now adjustable unit (Adjustable Ignition Diaphragm) that has an even stronger spring to get the retard curve just right and a corrected retard limitation. Take care, Dave
