the ECU is aiming for a target boost sensed by the map sensor but since you have played with the signal the actual boost is higher than the sensed boost & fuel is being delivered for the sensed boost which is less than the actual boost
Id say just dont get crazy with it they normaly will run a bit rich so if you are conservative with the resister/s you should be allright
it isent like a tuned ECU though its not just the boost that is turned up in a tuned ECU ignition timing & fueling are also adjusted
