fun with G-Tech Posted by TML [Email] (#2212) [Profile/Gallery] (more from TML) on Thu, 3 Mar 2005 22:18:18 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I got one of those G-Tech meters, and it's pretty cool. The weather finally allowed me to use it properly for the first time. I did one HP/Torque run, and one 0-60 run. I will post the results for anyone who is curious. This is in a '97 9000 Aero, with open air intake, and possibly a re-programmed ECU. I say possibly, because it may have been done by a previous owner. I realise it may not be completely accurate, but even if it's 10% off, the numbers sure don't seem "stock" to me. Keep in mind the HP and torque numbers are net, which is wheel HP less drag and rolling resistance.
Run 1
0-60 time 7.66s
30-50 time 2.27s
40-60 time 2.88s
1/8 mile 10.69s at 68.0mph (note I actually let off at 9.4s)
My start was pretty slow, and I've still got winter tires on. I'm sure I could improve that by better than 1-2 seconds.
Run 2 (all in 2nd gear)
Max HP 226HP at 4740rpm
Max TQ 291Ft-Lb at 3070rpm
30-50 in 2.01s
40-60 in 2.01s
Torque reached 260Ft-Lb at 2400rpm and stayed above that until 4500rpm.
