actually, 9000 fmic and no water injection. amazing what better control over timing and fueling gives you.
i did the same thing when i started. i loaded the stock timing map (based on msd btm and reg valve) and then began changing. i found that changes i made had such an impact on the performance of the car.
i an running the wolf 3d, 4.0. i looked at sds before making the move and then wolf was more $, but hooked up with all the stock sensors so the $ invested was al up front (except for tuning). quite a learning experience too. i can tell you while i am driving whether an issue is timing related or fueling related and most times whether it "feels" rich or lean. it takes a great deal of time and effort to get it up and running, but once you do, you have a car that you hand tuned yourself (and can beat just a bout every other car i run into on the road). it gives quite a bit of satisfaction.
