Guys, I can tell you the Asian customer received the ECU from the noteable UK tuner as part of a substantial upgrade he did to his 9-5 using Abbott equipment. It would appear that the UK tuner supplied MapTun software under their own name. The question is did the UK tuner know this to be the case? If the alleged UK tuner is Abbott then I do not believe they have the skills, tols and wherewithall to properly disassemble the ECU code, make the necessary changes for mperformance and to then reassemble and test. Certainly not for T8 and I think they wopuld struggle with T7! Remember that the Trionic system is very sophisticated and only getting more sophisticated as greater functionality is added and Saab attempt to protect their IP from the tuners. I have a suspicion they maybe source code from third party suppliers??? I would be interested on other members thoughts
