The hot humid air brings with it some boost delay. A SMBC will improve that. And a low restriction air filter will allow the turbo to spool up at its native rate instead of been held back by the control system. You will get a lot more power in the lower gears, but the objective is not to adjust to where the peak boost levels are increased... that is not T7 friendly.

There is not much available for front mounted ICs for the 9-5. Abbott is expensive. I know of one replacement IC (in original location) in development and one FMIC. But nothing ready to go yet.

You should do the exhaust system in preparation for a staged ECU mod. You can do the exhaust first, then ECU, or all at once.

The SMBC is very inexpensive and is a good start, even it it gets retired later on with $erou$ mods.
