I was a farm equipment mechanic for many years on the coast of cenral & northern CA which often involved welding
I took a few clases ....
jon is rite expierence is what gets it thats how you become a good welder you could get a couple of good booke & get busy with a machine & get pretty good but having an instructor point out things realy expidites learning
I was prety good gas welding so tig came relativeley easy to me
I now own some decent equipment & think I do pretty well but Im not a welder realy, Im more of an auto tech/diagnostician
