Well, turbo charged cars are great but they're not magic. :)

The speed in which torque is generated may come-on a bit more quickly compared to a similar non-turboed car(exagerated by being in a lower gear) but as long as you're within the resolution/range of the dyno sensors the physics of the whole system always apply. And really, regardless of what gear was used in a puny 2.0 I4 turbo, the magnitudes of the numbers being considered (and their relative rate of change) is still WELL within what a big cubic inch V-8 would produce all across the board--a Dynojet can accurately measure HP to something like 1600 HP, which only addresses the span issue directly (not the issue here), but imagine the rate of change for a system like that when they crack-open two or 3 big 4 barrels. I'm not sure what you're implying would be the difference? Tire flex maybe? I can see how resolution could be slightly decreased in the intermediary points, but that still makes the peak numbers fairly accurate at near steady-state conditions at the instant when power drops-off at high rpms.

What I'm saying is that "Rules" i.e. physics always apply without prejudice to the point where the rubber contacts the drums. And by calculation it dosen't matter what gear is used, except that greater system losses would be experienced in lower gears due to larger frictional losses with the gearbox--resulting in lower HP numbers, not higher. I'm not debating that a 1:1 ratio isn't most accurate, but I am suggesting the possibility that lower overall numbers would be realized in a 3rd vs. 4th run, not higher.

I drive my car about every other day and what I've noticed is that it consistantly stacks-up very well with cars that it dosen't have a right-to, in the real world, under real driving conditions.

Is it completly crazy to suggest that Saab may have produced some extra hot HOT's? It does look like Rico has one too. Taking-away his extra losses due to the autobox and considering his numbers were from a Mustang Dyno, his results are VERY similar to the numbers from my car.
