Thanks all for the response to my queries. Silicon hose (in red) is on its way. I just hope that doesn't void my warranty !
I bought the OBDScan for Palm Pilot. Also on its way by airmail. I'll let people know how it works.
Last night, after I replaced the bum vacuum hose, I reset the SES light by
(1) Pulling Fuses 16, 17 and 28
(2) Turning on the ignition (probabably not needed) and turning it off.
(3) Replacing fuses.
No more check engine light !
