what I understand Posted by jak [Email] (#195) [Profile/Gallery] (more from jak) on Sun, 29 May 2005 21:32:06 In Reply to: Spark plug gap change with SQR ECU Program?, Steve, Sun, 29 May 2005 18:50:17 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
is that the cars need to be set up similarly to get similar results & he probably sets the plugs up that way when tuning the cars for the staged ECUs he definatly says to gap the plugs to a snug .9MM
the DI is basicaly a combustion chamber temp sensor & thru temp the program can tell allot about what happened & may not have happened durring combustion so if he sets it up a certain way when he tunes the program you need to do the same thing usualy he goes for the 7ES but one time I saw him request a verry expensive plug which I cant remember (sorry) for a car which he intended to get over 400HP but mostly the 7ES
so the plugs should be gapped to .032-.034
take care
