It's probably just a cost of doing business. Working for yourself really gives you a different perspective on a lot of things. I know I'm sometimes the annoying potential customer with a gazillion questions, but I at least am seriously considering doing something, otherwise I will not spend hours of somebody's time yakking because I have no friends and nobody else to talk to. And I did talk to 3 or 4 different ECU vendors before settling on the one I'm going to order, but I figure I needed to do that to educate myself to make the right decision. But it's just basic common courtesy to treat people with decency, the way you would like to be treated yourself. Car salespeople have a horrible reputation with the general public, but I'm sure the general public have a horrible reputation with car salespeople. How many people waste days of car or real estate salespeople's time, yet they do not have an iota of desire, need or ability to buy a house/car/whatever.

I have seen people indignantly complaining about prices from SAAB Tuner vendors (not your prices, Jak, I swear! :p) because they can get something 20% cheaper somewhere else, or because you can get a Honda ECU upgrade for 1/2 the price of a SAAB ECU upgrade. I know that the guys who are in the SAAB performance part business (Jak, Nick, Bo, James, and everyone) are in it for the love of it more than for the money. As much as I love it, it's not a business I would get into as a way of making money. That's another thing I've learned from working for myself - whenever I think something is expensive to get done, I ask myself, is this something I'd want to do for a living at that price? I always answer 'no'. The day I answer 'yes' is the day I make a career change.

Hang in there Jak, we feel your pain. meantime, can you accommodate a group buy for 2 of your downpipes? LMAO
