Hi,

First of all you need to remove the "outer" section of the airbox. Remove the left front blinker and the black plastic "hood" on the left sid underneath the car. This part can be a bit tricky to get off as the nuts and bolts have a tendency to rust underneath...

Once you get access to the airbox remove the outer section. There are a couple of clips to unhatch. Simple.

As you will see once you get that far, there is a plastic "elephant trunk-looking" hose on top of the airbox. It's highly restrictive, so you either remove it altogether as I have, or cut it off to get rid of the thin section. After that there are two alternative procedures. 1) Cut open a 2" diameter hole in the front part of the airbox and cover it with a very thin metal net. (This is what I did) or 2) drill a number (10 or so) holes in the outside part of the airbox.

This combined with a K&N-filter or equivalent will provide nicer spool-up and top end power without the "noise" associated with open cone-filters. Sure, you will notice slightly more presence of intake-sound, but not at all at a disturbing level.
