Basically you need the brake lever assembly (which is bolted in) and the cable stop assembly that is spot-welded in. I managed to remove that piece with a grinder and a dremel/cut-off wheel. I did a bit of fabrication and did a bolt in install, no welding to my car, no new holes through the floor. I welded the cable stop to the metal sheet (cable protector?) that bolts in with the seat-belt bolts. If you use the plastic console cover to align the handle, you will find that one of the mounting holes falls over the bracket welded to the chassis for the seats. I drilled the hole there, and made a bracket based around a piece of steel with two nuts welded to it, in a step shape, since one of the two mounting holes falls over the bracket and the other over thin air. The vertical of the step contacts the vertical of the seat-mount, to keep the handle from pivoting. I'll draw a picture and scan it if that didn't make any sense.
