recntly installed a stage 3 ECU on my 99 9-3 auto (new plugs, 93 octane mp ic ,3 inch dp and saab exhaust , j r air filter,) and seems to provide boost similar to the stock ECU - just to the end of the yellow with no discenable peformance increase over the stock ecu. previously with a mbc would boost to approx 3/8 into the red . no obvious leaks, i have tried a different bpc without improvement and with the wastegate hose plugged i get scary boost to the end of the red. powerchips has been real helpful and we have trialed two differnt ecu's and all the parameters are correct in the programs they report and think they could probably figure it out if they had the car in front of them but they are 3000 miles away.

iam seeking input on other things to check before i return the ecu for a refund. i am thinking there is something wrong in the ecu/bpc axis and wonder about perhaps a problem with the map sensor to ecu giving the ecu incorrect feedback and therefore limiting boost but this is just a guess and i don't know if there would be any simple check of this idea. anyone have any about this or other ideas ? thanks john
