When i found out i needed an adaptation run, i was at Walter Wongs... He had me do the run a different way then what you guys are talking about. He had me get moving, then while going like 40 in third, pull the hand brake while accelerating to full throttle. The Brake keeps the car at 40, but the car makes full boost and adapts itself. After doing it this way a few times, I havent had any problems. I know that this doesnt let the car run through a range of RPM, but it worked great. And you dont break the law.
