I don't know what it is out here in CA, but far too many drivers with those aircraft lights have forgotten to adjust their headlights so oncoming drivers aren't blinded in normal evening situations. I've taken to hitting my brights (which happen to be really really bright) at offending drivers whenever necessary to drive home the point. And I'll guess I'm not the only one doing it. That can't be fun to be driving your bling wagon and have oncoming drivers constantly flashing their bright lights at you. A neighbor's 18 year old son was ticketed recently while driving in town with his old school Chevy Nova brights on. Appearently a proper violation here in LA. So I'll guess it won't be long until drivers with improperly adjusted aircraft lights are being ticketed on a regular basis. Probably happening already. Good source of police dept income out here!
