900 intercooler is restrictive: all flow goes down half of core then turns and comes back up the other half. makes for efficient cooling at oem power though. did a search and found data showing delta P of 1.5 psi press. drop across stock cooler for car at stock 8V Turbo power level. how much of that drop was due to delta T and how much due to physical cooler properties was not determined (no temps taken). data appears to be done by an engineer so likely accurate.
long way of saying this: put a front mount intercooler on. many are now available from newer turbo cars or cab-over delivery diesel trucks, so don't bother with $$$ aftermarket. and skip the 9000 intercooler due to fitment, restrictive, and most of core going behind bumper.
