Nice post!
I bought my III last April. Other than rebilding the rear brakes after a cylinder failed, all I've done is bought and mounted a fire extinguisher! Knowing my mechanical limitations I went with the credo "Buy the best condition car you can afford." So far it's worked out OK as the prior 2 owners put at least 2X the the price I paid for the car in the no expense restoration. And they did it right.
I do think I may need to replace (some of) the brake lines. Getting next to no flow to the right rear despite hours of bleeding using every technique in the book. The MC was rebuilt less than 8K miles ago and I get good flow to the left front. My understanding is they are diagonally opposed to that perhaps points to a blockage in the line. Thoughts? Doesn't seem too difficult a job. I have all the fitting and lenght info I need to order the SS lines. Before I pull the trigger I'm curious to know more why you didn't think the replacement was worth it.
