I ran into an unusual problem years ago on a Sprite that had a brake job done at another shop that couldn't figure out why the pedal would go to the floor when you stepped on it but would pump up firm if pumped rapidly. I happened to be looking at the rotor when someone else was pumping the brakes. I noticed that the rotor was flexing. Rapid pumping didn't allow the rotor to flex back to it's rest position so the pedal stayed hard. As soon as the pedal was released and allowed to stabilize, the rotor flexed back to its rest position and the first time you stepped on the pedal it went to the floor.
I've also experienced air tht just would not bleed out of the rear brakes. My '67 96 had a bent right rear backing plate and the shoes didn't fit square and cocked the piston in the cylinder. It was cocked so badly that it allowed air to be drawn in on the back stroke. LF/RR circuit never would bleed right.
