If it is in good shape (i.e., runs, no major rust issues, body and interior in good shape) then it seems like they hold their value fairly well, but they don't seem to appreciate much...unless it is a car that has been exceptionally well maintained or restored.
While they are not in high demand with collectors in general, there are enough Saab fans of the Sonett out there that whenever one in good condition is up for sale, someone will want it. Each year, there are fewer and fewer Sonett III's left, so ones that are in solid condition should not drop in value.
