cooling system Posted by mnproyer [Email] (#851) [Profile/Gallery] (more from mnproyer) on Sun, 16 Sep 2012 18:50:41 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
My 74 Sonett is not pushing water thru the radiator. I just put in a new water pump and thermostat and still have the same issue. Water went thru radiator fine when off the car. Water near cap is cold while engine is warm. I took off top outlet hose from radiator while engine was running and had no water coming out.
any ideas? I saw an earlier post about bleeding the system and a hose being sucked closed. I had a huge mouse infestation and they clogged my fan and heater and just cleaned that out. The hose to the heater was warm but there was no water in the heater core.
Which hose would get sucked closed if there was air in the system?
would a resevoir system cause such a problem? I took my cooling outlet tube and put it in my wiper fluid resevoir as I didnt want that any more, would that cause a vaccum?
thanks for your help.
