Even though not as difficult a job as a III I cut an access hole on my 68 about 5 years ago when I had the engine out. I had a very bad memory of changing the pump back in the mid 70's in Phoenix in the middle of summer with no shade. I think removing the hose was the hardest part. Also gives access to the motor mount.I coverd the hole with a sheet of .09" Aluminum that was a few inches bigger, added the vents and secured with about 15 sheet metal screws. Picture in my gallery.
