Never heard that about fiberglass boats and never saw the problem either. I've owned a number of fiberglass sailboats and live in Rhode Island where there are lots of boats. Perhaps this problem exists but I haven't seen blisters on boats as a common occurrence. My 1969 Sonett and my 1974 Sonett have no blisters either.
